Our first learning block focuses on leadership and gives our older children the opportunity to take on a key role within the Lumos community. They work together to define fundamental values that will serve as a guide for the entire group in the coming year. In doing so, they develop important skills such as communication, empathy, and decision-making, which make them confident and responsible leaders. Particularly exciting is that they do not only learn theoretically but also apply their knowledge directly by taking on practical leadership tasks. An important part of this process is preparing for their role in warmly welcoming the younger children in the next learning block and helping them integrate and feel comfortable in the group. This way, they create a strong community characterized by mutual respect and collaboration.
